Given some of our overlapping tastes (ACD and Austen especially), I'm taking this as a sign to move The Blue Castle and the Murderbot series up on my list of books to read. I needed the nudge!

Maryland just outlawed banning books. \o/

>>Worn: A People's History of Clothing<<

Haven't seen that, but have pored over several different "what people wore when" type books for historic references.

Oh man, that's such a good answer!

Piranesi is an experience! I didn't LOVE it (and I found Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell more my thing than Piranesi, of Clarke's stuff) but I'm very glad I read it, and read it with zero expectations for what I was going to find.

I just put a hold on Piranesi at my library system. Between you and another person talking about it, now I'm very curious. :)
